  1. Get 1 lb Ground Beef
  2. Get 1 packages El Milagro Yellow Corn Tortillas
  3. Take 1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)

  6. Prepare Toppings
  7. Take 1 cup sour cream
  8. Take 2 cup Diced Tomatoes
  9. Get 2 cup Shredded Lettuce

Taco (s) Dorados are crispy tacos, usually made with corn tortillas. The tortillas are warmed, then filled with a small amount of ground beef or shredded chicken filling, and then pan-fried. The resulting taco shell is crispy, yet chewy, and pliable enough at the seam where folded that they can be opened like a book. Tender chicken and pepperjack cheese filled taco shells, rolled and cooked, then topped with beans, sour cream, salsa, and avocado.

Steps to make Tacos Durados:
  1. Season your ground beef with salt and pepper.
  2. Place two tablespoons of ground beef on half of a tortilla. You want it to be thinner for fast cooking. Repeat until all the meat and tortillas are finished.
  3. Heat your oil over medium/high heat.
  4. Gently place the tortilla into the oil beef side up, and gently fold the tortilla in half enclosing the beef inside.
  5. Fry on each side for about 2 1/2 minutes on each side, then remove and place on a paper towel so get rid of excess oil.
  6. Top with lettuce, tomatoe, sour cream and shredded cheese if you would like :)

The resulting taco shell is crispy, yet chewy, and pliable enough at the seam where folded that they can be opened like a book. Tender chicken and pepperjack cheese filled taco shells, rolled and cooked, then topped with beans, sour cream, salsa, and avocado. Heat the tortillas and place an equal amount of filling on each. Roll and secure with toothpicks OR assemble all and chill seam side down. If you are not using the toothpicks-I dont-place seam side down in the hot oil first.
